Stepping into the doubly competitive intersection of weddings and shoes was more or less happenstance for Pustoryosa founder Vanessa Faye Valero. Her aunt asked her for a referral for custom wedding shoes, and Valero bet on herself, commissioning a shoemaker to make the design a reality.
It led to another custom wedding shoe project, leading Valero to realize the actual level of demand for custom wedding shoes. This also then led to her betting on herself, registering her new adventure as a business and going full-time with making sure that every bride feels equally elegant and comfortable on one of her most memorable days.
