Delmar Mother's Shellcraft MPC

Saud, Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte 2919

Del Mar is derived from the Spanish equivalent of “along the beach,” deriving its name from where its initial material of choice could be derived, seashells. They then pivoting to coconuts to continue operations and protect the environment, producing coconut bowls, ladles, and other home- and kitchenware.

True to the attributions to life itself of both the sea and coconuts, Del Mar traces its roots in providing livelihood, as the pivot also saw the brand starting out with empowered mothers to continue the good work. In the crafting of over 30 coconut-made products, they practice ZeroWaste production which ensures that every bit of the coconut shell is used; if not for the actual products, the parts are used as animal feeds.

Plans to expand are in the horizon, with Board of Directors member Alvin Aguete sharing that they have some ventures beyond the home in mind. As to the specifics, one assurance that Aguete gave is that Del Mar will always strive toward true sustainability.
